Savannah

Sunset Strip

SAVANNAH PRE-PARTIES
Line-ups to be confirmed around March 2004.

Biggest, busiest, most musically uptempo and pumping of the Sunset Strip options. It has a huge concrete terrace stepping down to the sea edge, with vast amounts of tables. It's a good place to eat, with a varied well-thought out menu. So much action goes off at major pre-parties - it's size and clout mean the unfulfilled potential is enormous. Rob: 'Musically we're more vocal-oriented than most, mixed in with a bit of old skool, Jazz-Funk and soulful House, like Naked Music. Later the funky House kicks in and then we pump it into the night, though soulfully, always soulful. We like sounds that'll appeal to a broad cross section, clubbers and older types alike, so long as it's quality music that everyone can appreciate.' In the afternoon a lot of 80s disco gets aired, with Deep House and Nu Jazz too. Savannah opens all year around and is the club scene's first choice early in the season, now they're on a mission to retain that position all summer long. The bar has been re-designed lately and a good party to catch is always the opening where every Island A list will turn up - before the mass market arrives. The introduction of it´s Funky Room means that the party can carry on after hours. Decorated comfortably, a great place to get lost in.
