ITACA PRE-PARTIES

Although busy all day as a beach bar-cafe, like Bar M next door, the striking Itaca, with its Greco-Roman-esque columns, is foremost a huge and exciting night time 'clubbers' experience, with six pre-parties based here. It's home base for parades too, performers being prepared and made up on the first floor 'deck' level each evening. The music is fairly chilled between 5-9pm, then, apart from the two or three hour pre-party interlude when anything can happen, Bob & Andy (who also go on to play Eden's Funky Room five nights per week) up the tempo to funky and soulful, in a mellowed, bouncy, Garage-Housey style, until 4am. 11pm-1am is the peak time, a clubby bar in full effect, action-packed and euphoric. Saturday is reserved for the bars own entertainment, with more of a Spanish flavour, visuals, projections, performers, fantasy dress...
