Ibiza Sunset Bars
Cafe Del Mar
Key resident DJ: Bruno Lepretre Still only opening at 6pm in the evening, with no pre-parties, the 'Cafe' is the original inspiration for all other Ibiza sunset bars, a timeless classic that has remained virtually unchanged for 21yrs. The legacy of Jose Padilla, during his years here, and the chilled vibe further instilled since his departure, has laid down the musical framework for a relaxing sunset-to-clubbing experience that, whilst adapted, or slightly altered, is essentially the formula to which all other sunset bar...
more details...Café Mambo
Buzzing with excitement, San An, indeed the World's most famous 'clubbing' bar, Mambo is THE premier club scene haunt, a beautiful beach bar that's effortlessly sexy and self-confident, packed with personality and powered by an electrifying energy surge generated by endless cutting-edge sounds. It's a one-off, a true original, a mystifying 'it' factor making it so much more vital and 'alive' than anywhere else. Mambo may have been built to an architects plan back in 1994, but never to a pre-conceived formula. It's about f...

Key resident DJ: Jon Constantine COASTLINE PRE-PARTIES & EVENTS Line-ups to be confirmed around March 2004. Still the best looking Sunset Bar in San An -indeed on the island although split in two now to form it´s neighbour SunSea Bar. With tiered terraces, vast acreage, numerous pools, fountains, a large Jacuzzi, massive and slickly presented quality restaurant, a cocktail hut, belly dancers, fashion shows, live acts, a substantial clothes and merchandise shop, hippie stalls, projections… The list is almost endless, ...

more details...Itaca
Key resident DJs: Bob Frisky & Andy ITACA PRE-PARTIES Although busy all day as a beach bar-cafe, like Bar M next door, the striking Itaca, with its Greco-Roman-esque columns, is foremost a huge and exciting night time 'clubbers' experience, with six pre-parties based here. It's home base for parades too, performers being prepared and made up on the first floor 'deck' level each evening. The music is fairly chilled between 5-9pm, then, apart from the two or three hour pre-party interlude when anything can happen, Bob &...
more details...Kasbah
A Salinas-style chiringuito (beach bar-cafe) to the San An area. It's infinitely cool and relaxed, even if a bit of an oddity on its raised terrace at the bottom of a large, basic, 60s apartment block. Kasbah's situation matters little though, location is what counts, or more precisely, viewpoint. A palm leaf roof masks the block above and eyes instead focus on a fabulous overview of their own beach, across the languid sexiness of neighbouring Kanya, then out to sea for a perfect sunset view. A neat new 'gentlemen's club'...
more details...Kumharas
A beautiful chilled out sunset bar, open all day and night with stunning views of the Island of Conjero and of course the wonderful Ibizan Sunset. Serving up an eclectic menu offering a fusion of tastes from Indonesia as well as the Med, it is the perfect place to go with groups of people or indeed just a couple of you. With a swimming pool it makes it a perfect daytime location too and with plenty of underground parties and special promotions you will find that the evenings are buzzy and the atmosphere there alight.
more details...Rey de Copas
Rey de Copas is a fantastically laid back sunset bar for the more sophisticated and discerning international crowd. Situated just beside Cafe Mambo, it has it's own deserved rep for being one of the strongest along there serving fantastic food and a great cocktail menu.

SAVANNAH PRE-PARTIES Line-ups to be confirmed around March 2004. Biggest, busiest, most musically uptempo and pumping of the Sunset Strip options. It has a huge concrete terrace stepping down to the sea edge, with vast amounts of tables. It's a good place to eat, with a varied well-thought out menu. So much action goes off at major pre-parties - it's size and clout mean the unfulfilled potential is enormous. Rob: 'Musically we're more vocal-oriented than most, mixed in with a bit of old skool, Jazz-Funk and soulful Ho...
more details...Sugar Sea
SUGAR SEA is the ex-Mezzanine, ex-El Divino Sunset Bar, though it now bares little comparison to those previous eras, having gone through a spectacular metamorphosis. From its former creepy-crawly state it has been amazingly transformed, re-emerging like a beautiful butterfly - all delicate canopies, cool airy lighting, comfortable silky seating and an entirely refreshing attitude. A new sandy beach has been added over the rocks that surround the lower wooden jetty which projects out from the front towards the sea (incide...
